3 weeks old

Three weeks ago we welcomed Sarah Grace into our family. She is a precious gift from God whom we are all enjoying! I may have gone a little overboard on the photos this time. :) So I'll keep the words brief. A glimpse at the last two weeks...

Sarah's first week

We are all so in love with our little Sarah Grace! She is always in someone's arms--no need for swing or seat. Our first week with her has been a joy. The kids stayed with Grammie for two nights, three days. Daddy and Mommy so appreciated the quiet time to spend resting and enjoying Sarah. The kids came back Tuesday afternoon and we were all happy to be back together again.

Our awesome kids have been taking good care of Mom, doing all the things Mom usually does, in addition to their regular chores. Myck and Grant made home made pasta with elk sausage sauce, salad and lemon bars one night, yum!

For the 4th of July, Darrell had a surprise planned for the family. We spent the weekend at a hotel near Tempe Town Lake with our friend Bryan and his kids. The dads took the kids to watch the fireworks while Cari relaxed in the room with Lanie and Sarah.

Sunday afternoon, while the kids swam at Bryan's, Cari and Sarah got a visit from Great Grandma Ann and Great Grandpa Pete and Grammie. (Cari's grandparents and mom.)

It was a great week!

Daddy's chest is always a favorite napping spot for our babies

Good friend Bryan brought us (Darrell & Cari) filet mignon with sauteed mushrooms, asparagus, and corn on the cob, which he and Darrell cooked up for us. What a treat! He also brought a yummy dinner for the whole family another night.
